Key Change In Midfield: Predicted 4-3-3 Liverpool Lineup vs Burnley

Liverpool will square off against Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday, and the Reds will hope to keep their winning start to the Premier League intact.

Jürgen Klopp’s side will face a sturdy outfit, however, who have made a decent start to the league, picking up four points from three games.

Sean Dyche’s side pushed Arsenal before managing a draw against Wolves away from home. Their recent loss in the second round of the EFL Cup, however, might upset the momentum they had built.

Even though they will play at home, Burnley are expected to sit back, absorb pressure, and hit the Reds on the break, so Klopp will have to accordingly name his Liverpool lineup.

Liverpool Team News

Naby Keita is still unavailable as he is recovering from a hip injury, while Alisson is expected to be out for a couple of weeks more at least.

Dejan Lovren’s future is still up in the air as he has been linked (h/t Corriere dello Sport) with a move to the Serie A, and is not expected to make it to the Liverpool lineup.

Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs Burnley

Defence

Adrian was again a bit shaky against Arsenal in the Reds’ win last weekend, but he is expected to retain his place in the Liverpool lineup. The Spaniard will have to be wary of the crosses and long balls come Saturday.

Don’t expect any changes in the defence, even though Klopp has a fit Joe Gomez raring to make it to the Liverpool lineup. Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold should feature as the full-backs, while Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk should play at the heart of the defence.

Midfield

In the bigger games, Klopp likes to stick with more stability in the Liverpool lineup, but considering the Reds will be up against a narrow and rigid Burnley defence, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain seems like a good option in midfield because he is a more creative player to have.

Fabinho is a definite starter, and Jordan Henderson might complete the three-man midfield. Fabinho was once again at the top of his game against Arsenal, and his presence in the midfield will allow the duo of Henderson and Oxlade-Chamberlain to push forward.

Attack

Mohamed Salah was in the mood against Arsenal, and he should keep his place on the right. Sadio Mane should feature on the left, while Roberto Firmino will start up top.
