4-3-3 with Hazard possibly playing his last game: Predicted Chelsea Lineup vs Arsenal

Chelsea are having an odd 2018/19 campaign as the Blues finished 3rd in the Premier League and have reached two finals in League Cup and Europa League, but not everyone is pleased.

Sarri will be keen to lift his first piece of silverware with Chelsea when the Blues take on London rivals Arsenal in the Europa League final on Wednesday.

After a bitter-sweet season where they secured Champions League football, the club will hope to end on high by winning a trophy.

Chelsea team news

Ahead of the final in Baku, the Blues have lost two of their most pivotal midfielders in N’Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The Frenchmen twisted his knee in training, while the latter ruptured his left Achilles in a friendly against the New England Revolution last week.

The likes of Ethan Ampadu, Callum Hudson-Odoi (Achilles) and Antonio Rudiger (knee) will also be unavailable for the Blues.

Predicted Chelsea Lineup vs Arsenal

Defence

Kepa will start in goal for the Blues after cementing his number one status in the Chelsea ranks.

David Luiz and Andreas Christensen should at the heart of the defence, with Cesar Azpilicueta and Emerson Palmieri taking their roles as full-backs.

The absence of Rudiger might make things difficult for the Blues as Arsenal have a lot of pace in their attack.

Midfield

A midfield trio of Jorginho, Ross Barkley and Mateo Kovacic are likely to start after the latest injuries to Kante and Loftus-Cheek. Jorginho will sit deep and orchestrate the play, while the remaining two will more likely play higher up the pitch and pose a direct threat on the opposition goal.

The absence of Loftus-Cheek, who registered a goal and an assist in the semi-final against Eintracht Frankfurt, will hurt the team as his box to box ability and link-up play with the forwards was impressive.

Attack

The Europa League final could very well be the last appearance for Eden Hazard in a Blue shirt as he inches closer to his dream move to Santiago Bernabeu.

The Chelsea talisman will form a trident with Gonzalo Higuain, and Pedro up front.

The injury to Hudson-Odoi might haunt Sarri and co. who could have used his pace on the wings, but if Hazard gets going, the Blues should be fine.
