Opinion: Watford and Southampton among possible destinations for wantaway Liverpool star

Adam Lallana could be on his way out of Anfield this summer after he told friends he would welcome a move to Southampton, it has been claimed.

According to Express, Adam Lallana is uncertain about his long-term future at the club after making just five starts this season. Hence, a move away from Anfield could be on the horizon for the ex-Southampton star, who has reportedly told his friends that he would welcome a move back to St. Mary’s Stadium.

But Lallana won’t be lacking suitors should he choose to depart Liverpool this summer. And in this article, we will discuss potential destinations for the England international next season.

Everton

Marco Silva has been immersed in his efforts to build a credible legacy at Goodison Park. But, the Portuguese could suffer a mass exodus in the midfield department, with Idrissa Gueye linked with a move elsewhere while Andre Gomes is reportedly nearing a switch to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Lallana, in that regard, could be an interesting alternative, especially if Everton fail to secure the services of Gomes. The 31-year-old is a technically gifted midfielder, who can easily integrate himself into Silva’s plans. His ability to link up with teammates and rotate possession at a quick-rate will make the Toffees much more dynamic in midfield.

He could also be available at a lower-fee given his struggles at Liverpool in recent years. A switch from a purely footballing point of view makes sense but the obvious acrimony and rivalry between the clubs might well come into the way of any possible transfer.

Watford

After a promising campaign under Javi Gracia, Watford will be keen to add more options to their midfield department this summer. The Hornets have appeared overreliant on the services Roberto Pereyra and Will Hughes in the creative aspect and lack any reliable alternative.

Hence, the addition of someone as experienced as Lallana could make a world of sense. The 31-year-old will thrive in Gracia’s intense, high-octane philosophy at Watford and will also provide competition for the likes of Hughes and Pereyra.

Gracia’s 4-2-2-2 setup will also make it easier for the Spaniard to accommodate Lallana – making him an ideal target for Watford.

Southampton

Southampton seems like the most likely destination for Lallana at the moment. The Saints have transformed into an attractive attacking team under the tutelage of Ralph Hasenhuttl and have shown immense potential in these past few months.

They will surely be boosted by the addition of Lallana, who made his mark at Southampton before moving to Liverpool back in 2014. He can add the creative flair in a midfield that struggled with frequent injuries to their star players including Mario Lemina and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this past year.

Lallana, himself, is reportedly keen on returning to St. Mary’s Stadium next season and it would only be logical for the Saints to sanction a bid for the 31-year-old.

This includes nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate, cheap viagra, as the magazine put it, given that Pfizer scientists discovered the drug.
