Arnautovic to Start: Predicted West Ham United Lineup vs Leicester City

West Ham United will look to return to winning ways when they host Leicester City at the London Stadium on Saturday.

The Hammers are on a three-game losing streak, and a win is imperative if they are to make a late dash to finish in the top seven.

West Ham United team news

Manuel Pellegrini will miss out on the services of a host of key players including Samir Nasri, Manuel Lanzini, and Javier Hernandez for their clash against the Foxes.

Aaron Cresswell is also a doubt for the Leicester game tomorrow, which might see Arthur Masuaku continue at left-back.

The positive news is Marko Arnautovic is in line to feature after returning from his injury and training with the team earlier in the week.

Predicted West Ham United lineup vs Leicester City

Defence

Pablo Zabaleta will retain his place at right-back ahead of Ryan Fredericks while Cresswell’s lack of certainty in regards to his match fitness makes Masuaku the favourite to start on the opposite flank.

Angelo Ogbonna, meanwhile, might continue to start over Issa Diop in central defence. Ogbonna will be partnered by Fabian Balbuena at the heart of West Ham’s four-man backline.

The Paraguayan international has been a vital cog in the West Ham defence this season, and his excellent anticipation and positioning will be useful for the hosts against a sharp Leicester attack.

Lukasz Fabianski has been one of the in-form goalkeepers in the Premier League this season, and the Polish international will expect yet another eventful outing against the Foxes this Saturday.

Midfield

Pellegrini could opt for a 4-1-4-1 formation, with Declan Rice as the lone holding midfielder. The 20-year-old’s tackling prowess has been effective alongside the more composed and collected figure of Mark Noble in midfield.

The veteran English midfielder will be tasked with the responsibility of distributing the ball and brings others into play with his passing range.

Noble will operate in a slightly advanced midfield role and will be partnered by the industrious Robert Snodgrass, who has proved to be an effective component in the West Ham press.

Attack

Marko Arnautovic might return to the starting lineup in order to spearhead the West Ham attack.

The Austrian international will be supported by the wide-duo of Michail Antonio and Felipe Anderson, who will look to stretch play.
