Henderson to Start, No Keita: Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs Bayern Munich

Liverpool are all set to take on Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena in a big game after the 0-0 draw at Anfield in the previous leg.

The Reds can book a place in the quarter-final of the Champions League with a win or even a draw as long as they manage to score.

Jürgen Klopp’s side managed a 4-2 win against Burnley last weekend, and the front three showed good form which will make the fans believes they can breach the Bayern defence.

Liverpool’s away form in the Champions League has been woeful this season, as they have lost all three of their away games. They’ll need to change that if they are to make it to the quarter-finals of the competition.

Liverpool Team News

The Reds will be without Naby Keita, who has a slight injury and has remained at Melwood. The duo of James Milner and Dejan Lovren are back, however.

Virgil Van Dijk will also return to the Liverpool lineup after missing the first leg due to a suspension, and his presence will be key against an in-form Robert Lewandowski.

Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs Bayern Munich

Defence

Trent Alexander-Arnold was subbed off against Burnley late in the game, but is expected to be back. Andy Robertson should feature at the left-back. Joel Matip and Van Dijk should start as the two centre-backs.

Alisson Becker will keep his place in goal, and he might have a busier game at Allianz Arena.

Midfield

With Keita unlikely to feature, we expect Klopp to go with Jordan Henderson in midfield. The skipper didn’t start against Burnley as Adam Lallana featured in midfield, and will be fresh for the Bayern game.

Henderson put in a good shift against Bayern in the first leg and the fans will hope for a similar performance once again. Fabinho and Gini Wijnaldum should complete the midfield in the Liverpool lineup.

Bayern’s midfielders are in tremendous form, so the Liverpool trio will have their hands full.

Attack

Roberto Firmino will start up top, while Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah will play on the flanks.

The trio were back to their best against Burnley, and even though Salah didn’t get on the scoresheet, he did everything else perfectly.
