Leeds United will hope to get their season back on track after their patchy form when they take on Swansea City on Wednesday.
The Whites have lost four games already in 2019, and have failed to win their last two games which has seen them fall three points behind league leaders Norwich City.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have two home games coming up, and the fans will hope the team can recapture their old swagger to manage a more consistent run in the coming weeks.
Though Leeds only managed a draw in their last game against Middlesbrough, they will be confident as their never say die spirit prevailed at Riverside on Saturday.
Swansea, on the other hand, picked up a narrow win against Millwall in their last outing, and will hope they can test Leeds and close the gap on the teams above them in the table.
Jack Clarke is recuperating well after collapsing on the sidelines in Leeds’ 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough, but it’s is not expected to return against Swansea.
Bielsa has, characteristically, already named his starting lineup for the game. Pablo Hernandez will return and his addition will provide the creativity in attack.
George Byers is expected to continue in midfield for Swansea with Leroy Fer a doubt. Daniel James is expected to line up on the left against the team he so nearly joined a couple almost a couple of weeks ago on deadline day.
Leeds United Predicted Lineup: Casilla, Ayling, Jansson, Cooper, Alioski, Phillips, Roofe, Hernandez, Bamford, Harrison
Swansea City Predicted Lineup: Mulder, Roberts, Carter-Vickers, Hoorn, Naughton, Byers, Grimes, James, Celina, Routledge, McBurnie
Pablo Hernandez will once again be a crucial player for the Whites as they’ll look to assert their dominance over Swansea early on in the game.
Leeds haven’t been able to take the lead in the last four games despite more possession, and Hernandez’s creativity might play hand come a Wednesday.
All eyes will be on James and how he’ll fare on the pitch. The young winger often provides the drive on the break, and with Leeds expected to see more of the ball, James will have to be decisive on the counter-attacks.
