West Ham United Player Ratings vs Arsenal: Rice And Cresswell Dazzle

West Ham United secured a well-earned 1-0 victory over Arsenal at the London Stadium earlier today. Declan Rice’s goal proved to be the only difference between the two sides.

Here are our West Ham United player ratings:

Lukasz Fabianski 6/10

Fabianski was hardly bothered in the game apart from a shot from Alexandre Lacazette early on, which he dealt with comfortably.

Pablo Zabaleta 6/10

The veteran defender was troubled by a resurgent Sead Kolasinac, but he dealt with the Bosnian well. Most importantly, he thrived with a lot of energy and purpose.

Issa Diop 7/10

Diop found his feet as the game progressed and he schooled Lacazette. His cohesion with Angelo Ogbonna was impressive.

Angelo Ogbonna 7/10

Like Diop, he was shaky in the initial minutes but grew eventually and he kept Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in check.

Aaron Cresswell 8/10

The left-back caused all sorts of trouble for Ainsley Maitland-Niles and nullified the young gun comprehensively. Offensively and defensively, he had an excellent game.

Mark Noble 6/10

Noble didn’t do anything spectacular, but did the basics right. He showed good work-rate in central midfield.

Declan Rice 9/10

Rice showed his class again as he bossed the midfield and read the game brilliantly. Scored the winner as well.

Felipe Anderson 7/10

He was a thorn for Matteo Guendouzi and showed a lot of intent while going forward. Moreover, he provided a helping hand to the defenders after his side took the lead.

Samir Nasri 7/10

The former Arsenal midfielder linked up well with Anderson and his touches and creative prowess was spot on more often than not.

Michail Antonio 7/10

Antonio tested Sead Kolasinac and Laurent Koscielny plenty of times and drifted into the wider areas with ease. He had a good game down the right flank for the Irons.

Marko Arnautovic 5/10

It was a quiet game for the striker as he lacked confidence in the first half and was reluctant to test Bernd Leno.

Substitutions

Robert Snodgrass 6/10

After replacing Nasri in the 70th minute, Snodgrass immediately brought energy to his side’s attacking endeavours.

Andy Carroll 6/10

He replaced Arnautovic with around 20 minutes left on the clock and got into some good positions.

Pedro Obiang 5/10

Obiang replaced Antonio on the 80th minute and added more steel to the midfield.

Fast forward to 1996 read and permanent cures for impotence.
