Clarke and Halme Start: Predicted 4-1-4-1 Leeds United Lineup vs QPR

Leeds United will take on QPR in the Championship on Saturday and the Whites will hope to push Norwich City at the top end of the league table.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side opened up a four-point lead over their closest rivals West Brom in the league table and despite all the injuries, the mood at Elland Road is upbeat as the side have been consistent so far this season.

Leeds’ upcoming opponents QPR have managed just one win from their last five games and will be the underdogs heading into the game.

Leeds United team news

Stuart Dallas was beginning to become a very useful player in the right-back role, but the 27-year old has been ruled out for six weeks due to a stress fracture.

Liam Cooper had to be taken off in the first half of the game against Sheffield United and he too will miss more than a month’s action.

The positive news is Patrick Bamford and Izzy Brown are available but are unlikely to start as they are not 100 percent match fit yet.

Predicted Leeds United Lineup

Defence

Kalvin Phillips has done an admirable job in midfield and defence and could be utilised in the right-back role.

Aapo Halme was assertive enough against Sheffield United and could get the nod to start alongside Pontus Jansson in the centre-back role.

Barry Douglas should keep his place in the left-back role. The ever impressive Bailey Peacock-Farrell will guard the posts.

Midfield

Adam Forshaw is expected to play in the deepest midfield role and he will be supported by the duo of Samu Saiz and Mateusz Klich.

Pablo Hernandez had another excellent outing on Saturday and scored the only goal of the game. The Spaniard will be a key player for Bielsa’s side once again.

For the second successive game, Bielsa brought on Jack Clarke at halftime and the young attacker is in line to start on the left wing ahead of Ezgjan Alioski.

Attack

Kemar Roofe has gone two league games without scoring and the fans will hope their forward gets back to scoring ways come Saturday.
