Predicted 4-3-3 Fulham Lineup vs Huddersfield Town: Cairney Starts

Fulham will aim to end their disappointing four-game losing run when they meet Huddersfield Town at John Smith’s Stadium on Monday.

The Cottagers are languishing at the wrong end of the table with just five points, two more than Huddersfield who are sitting at the deep end of the table.

Fulham team news

Fulham do not have any major injury concern with defender Joe Bryan being their only absentee. The 25-year-old is suffering from a hamstring problem and has been ruled out until the second week of November.

Predicted Fulham lineup vs Huddersfield Town

Defence

Slavisa Jokanovic could once again deploy Ryan Sessegnon as the left-back, which would once again leave out Maxime La Marchand from the starting eleven even though the Frenchman leads the team in terms of interceptions. Timothy Fosu-Mensah will be deployed on the opposite flank.

We could expect a slight alteration in central defence with new signing Alfie Mawson coming in for Tim Ream. It has been a difficult season for Mawson, who has featured in only four league games for his new club. He will partner Denis Odoi at the heart of the Fulham defence. Odoi has made 47 clearances, which is the most by any Fulham player this season.

Marcus Bettinelli will start in goal for the Cottagers as he searches for his first clean sheet of the season.

Midfield

We won’t be expecting any changes in midfield with Jokanovic likely to resort to his trusted trio of Tom Cairney, Andre Anguissa and Jean-Michael Seri.

Captain Cairney will play a key role in rotating the possession in the centre of the pitch while Seri will be tasked with the responsibility of providing the main creative spark for his team. The former Nice superstar leads the in terms of attempted tackles while averaging over two key passes per game; the most by any player in the team.

Attack

Luciano Vietto will once again be rewarded with a starting berth. His creativity and dynamism could cause several problems for the Huddersfield defence while Schurrle will look to utilise his pace and excellent shooting prowess to catch the Terriers on the break.

Only three players have averaged more shots than the German international, a list which includes teammate Aleksandar Mitrovic, who will be leading the attack for Fulham on Monday.
