Key Forward Returns: Predicted 4-4-1-1 West Ham United Lineup vs Burnley

West Ham United bowed out of the EFL Cup after losing to Tottenham Hotspur and will look to put an end to their torrid form of late when they take on Burnley at home.

The Hammers are winless in their last three league games and have dropped to 13th in the league table.

Manuel Pellegrini has had to deal with a few injuries and suspensions. As many as seven first-team players are unavailable for selection and that hasn’t helped the team.

West Ham United Team News

Marko Arnautovic is back and should be fit to lead the line against Burnley. Pellegrini will be without the services of Mark Noble after the red card he picked up against Leicester but does have the option of Pedro Obiang who has returned from his injury.

With Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez out injured as well, Pellegrini doesn’t have too many other options to choose from.

Predicted West Ham United Lineup

Defence

Fabianski should return in goal after Adrian got a chance to impress in the cup. The Pole has been one of the most consistent performers for the Hammers this season.

Fabian Balbuena was unfortunate to concede an own goal against Leicester after giving his side the lead. He will return to line up alongside Issa Diop at the heart of the defence.

Pablo Zabaleta and Arthur Masuaku should line up as the two fullbacks.

Midfield

Declan Rice has done a wonderful job in front of the defence with his work ethic and he is likely to partner Obiang in the middle.

Felipe Anderson could play on the left as that’s his strongest position and academy product Grady Diangana should get another chance to feature on the right wing.

Diangana put in a shift against Leicester and looked good against Spurs in the first half of the EFL Cup tie, so the fans will be hoping that he can add a bit more spark from the wing.

Attack

Robert Snodgrass could play behind Marko Arnautovic in attack. The Austrian has been pretty wasteful this season after getting into good areas and the manager will be hoping the forward becomes more composed in front of goal.
