Chelsea have mustered a dazzling start to their life under the tutelage of their new manager Maurizio Sarri. The Blues have collected 17 points from 7 games so far in the Premier League and are placed at the 3rd spot in the league standings at the moment.
One of the players to have benefitted massively after the entry of Sarri at the Stamford Bridge has been David Luiz. Luiz had recently admitted that he would have left Chelsea had former manager Antonio Conte stayed, but he has definitely resurrected his career with the London based outfit.
The Brazilian has started all of Chelsea’s league outings so far and has carved 0.7 tackle, 1.3 interceptions, 4.3 clearances and 0.4 block per game on an average. He has certainly impressed the manager as well as the fans and there is no denying that.
As per one of the latest reports by Metro, Chelsea are willing to offer a new deal to Luiz to extend his stay in their arsenal. His current deal is set to expire next summer and as per the report, the club is willing to open talks with the 31-year-old over a new contract, which is arguably due to his fine form at the moment.
