Arsenal engineered a 2-0 win over Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, with Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finding the back of the net. The win ensured a fourth consecutive win in the Premier League for Unai Emery’s troops.
Their victory took them to the 6th place in the league standings. Despite a stuttering start to the new season, as the Gunners lost against Manchester City and Chelsea, the north London outfit is slowly but surely developing under the tutelage of their new manager Emery and their results are testaments to it.
However, there is still a lot of work to be done to excel further in the coming games and Emery has reiterated the same. The former Paris Saint-Germain manager is not fully convinced despite his side’s win over the Toffees and it certainly showcases the hunger he has in his belly.
Speaking about his side’s performance to Sky Sports after their victory, Emery said: “100 per cent [happiness] is not easy [achieve]. We won but we didn’t control the match like we wanted to in the first half. We are happy because it’s four victories in a row and in front of our supporters.”
