Breaking: Chelsea Boss Maurizio Sarri Makes Interesting Prediction About The Title Race

Chelsea have had a bright start to their life under the tutelage of their new manager Maurizio Sarri. Along with the London based outfit, the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City have also commenced their Premier League season in a confident fashion.

The Citizens lifted the league title last term under Pep Guardiola in a scintillating manner, with Chelsea finishing 5th in the standings.  Guardiola’s side ended their campaign with 100 points to their name and Chelsea were 30 points adrift of them.

Therefore, it would take herculean efforts from the Blues to have the last laugh at the end of the season. Sarri is well aware of the huge amount of competition his side are going to face this season and he believes that Liverpool and Manchester City have the edge in the title race.

On being asked who he felt were title challengers, Sarri said:

“At the moment I can answer Manchester City or Liverpool. We need another step I think to be at the same level. I think so, but I hope not. It’s very difficult. The gap last season was 30 points so I think to go above 30 points in one season is very, very difficult.”
