After collecting four wins in as many fixtures in the Premier League, Liverpool are currently at the top of the league. Under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp, the Reds have really shown a lot of hunger and determination and are capable of making a serious surge for the league title.
Lately, former Manchester United defender Gary Neville had stated that Liverpool should focus only on the Premier League to muster a real chance of winning it. Neville said that focussing on multiple competitions could turn out to be an exhausting affair for Klopp’s men.
Klopp, however, hasn’t appreciated Neville’s comments. He said: “Gary should come over and tell me exactly how that works. How do you prepare for a game when you don’t focus on it? Bring your kids into the Champions League, that would be funny. I don’t know what he means, to be honest.”
The former English international has apparently hit back at Klopp as he wrote on Twitter: “Mad world this one! You make a comment that @LFC are actually capable of winning a league title (but my reservations are them playing too many games sat/wed /sat) for the first time in 30 years and it’s seen as a dig! I actually hope they play their best team every game!!”
