Signed from Arsenal in the January transfer window for £20m, Theo Walcott has seamlessly adjusted to life at Everton. The winger has already scored two goals and registered one assist in four Premier League appearances so far this season.
However, Walcott was substituted early in the second-half during Everton’s 1-1 draw in the league fixture with Huddersfield Town last weekend. After the 29-year-old’s exit from the pitch, the Toffees notably struggled in their attacking endeavours as they clearly lacked fluidity against the Terriers.
As per one of the latest reports by Liverpool Echo, Walcott is believed to be recovering well and there are no complications with his injury. On Sunday, Everton are due to host West Ham United at the Goodsion Park and the English international’s presence would be vital for Marco Silva’s troops.
The Blues are already set to be without the services of Richarlison as he remains suspended and there are doubts over Bernard’s fitness. The final call regarding Walcott’s inclusion in the team to face the Hammers would come down to whether or not he can cope with any remaining pain in his rib.
