Stadium Update: Another Blow For Tottenham Hotspur

Due to issues with the ‘critical safety systems’, Tottenham Hotspur have been forced to postpone the opening of their new stadium at the White Hart Lane. Earlier, Spurs were due to play their first match at their new backyard which has the capacity to hold 62,062 people on 15th September against Liverpool.

However, the opening is set to be delayed until at least the end of October and the North London based outfit are perceived to have activated a costly clause with the Football Association to continue using the Wembley Stadium. Besides, a venue for Spurs’ Premier League fixture against Manchester City on 28th October is yet to be confirmed.

Moreover, an NFL match between Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders which was scheduled to take place on 14th October at the new stadium has been moved to the Wembley Stadium. This is undoubtedly a huge embarrassment for the English top-flight outfit. The fans are also justifiably unhappy at the cost of the season tickets.

Club’s chairman Daniel Levy has said: “We know this will be disappointing for all our season tickets holders, premium members and our fans worldwide. At the start of the project we asked for your support during what we knew would be a complex and challenging build and now we ask for your continued patience and forbearance.”

I have been browsing online greater than three hours lately, but I by no means found any fascinating article like more.
