Predicted 3-4-2-1 Wolves lineup vs West Ham United: Big change in attack

Following an impressive week, Wolverhampton Wanderers will travel to the Olympic Stadium to face West Ham United on Saturday as they’ll look to continue their excellent form.

The newly promoted outfit picked up a 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday in midweek after mustering a point against Manchester City in the league last weekend.

West Ham United, on the other hand, have had a terrible start to the new season having lost all their games so far.

In fact, the Hammers are the only club not to register a single point in the Premier League thus far. Their 3:1 win against AFC Wimbledon the League Cup could give them the much-needed boost prior to this encounter, though.

Wolves – Team news

Injuries are the least of all concerns for Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo at the moment with Ivan Cavaleiro being the only absentee through injury.

The Portuguese boss will have more options at his disposal now with Leander Dendoncker finally fit enough to be considered for the starting eleven along with other new signing Adama Traore. Both of them played the full ninety minutes during the win over Sheffield Wednesday on, well, Wednesday.

Predicted Wolves Lineup

Defence

Rui Patricio was the star of the match against Manchester City but he’ll be hoping for a more low-key afternoon when Wolves travel London.

New signing Leander Dendoncker was deployed as a centre-back in midweek. But, Espirito Santo is likely to revert to his trusted back-three of Ryan Bennett, Conor Coady, and Willy Boly this weekend with Dendoncker demoted to the bench.

Matt Doherty will retain his place in the right wingback position but Robert Vinagre might have to make way for the reliable Jonny Castro on the opposite flank.

Midfield

Once again, we can expect Espirito Santo to stick with his trusted combination of Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves in midfield. The Portuguese pair have built a formidable partnership so far this season and uprooting partnership doesn’t really make much sense unless things start going south.

Attack

Wolves’ attack will comprise of Diogo Jota and Adama Traore feeding the main striker Raul Jimenez from the wider positions. Traore, in particular, will be a key player after impressing as a substitute against Manchester City. He also played an integral role in the win over Sheffield Wednesday this past midweek.
