As per one of the latest reports by Mirror, Manchester United are believed to have struck a deal to sign Poland’s sensation Lukasz Bejger. Although their arch-rivals Manchester City were also believed to be in the race, the Red Devils have reportedly had the last laugh.
In September, Piotr Sadowski was added to the scouting network of the Premier League outfit and Sadowski knew about Bejger during their time together at Lech Poznan. He is believed be the one to have recommended Manchester United for the signing of the highly rated gem of Polish football.
His move is expected to be announced officially in the coming days and Bejger is said to have already posed for club portraits. He is expected to join Neil Ryan’s Under-18s side as they look to retain the Premier League North title which they had won last season.
Versatility is arguably the strongest suit of the 16-year-old, as he is capable of operating from the central defence as well as from the right-back. He made his national team youth debut against Scotland in September 2017 and also captained the Under-16s against Moldova earlier this year.
