Liverpool linked with a surprise move for Arsenal star: He would thrive under Klopp

The transfer window is open for a few more days and the Premier League clubs need to get their transfer business done as the league starts next weekend. Liverpool, one of the most active clubs in the transfer season, could be pretty involved in the coming days once again.

According to a report by the Daily Express, Ian McGarry, a transfer expert, claimed that the Reds are interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

McGarry was quoted saying to the Transfer Window Podcast, “There’s a little bit of interest from Liverpool, I understand.”

Aaron Ramsey – A player who would thrive under Klopp

Jürgen Klopp has the ability to get the best out of his players and we’ve seen that with quite a few at Liverpool. Last season, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s arrival brought in a lot of scepticism but Klopp always had a system and solution in mind.

Chamberlain wasn’t used properly at Arsenal and immediately, you could see how much he loved his football under Klopp. We could see something similar with Aaron Ramsey if he signs for Liverpool.

As was the case with Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey was being shackled under former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. Of course, he’s had purple patches at times but has never found the consistency because of the Arsenal setup.

Liverpool play much more direct and the pressing is what makes them a joy to watch. Someone like Ramsey, who has thrived in a free role or a more attacking role in midfield, could form a devastating partnership with Naby Keita.

More options and quality

Liverpool let Emre Can leave but have two new midfielders in Fabinho and Keita at the club. It’s unlikely that Klopp will meddle too much with his formation this season as the front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah are best utilised in the 4-3-3 system.

The midfield is where Klopp can rotate as Liverpool showed a tendency to switch off at times. Ramsey is a disciplined midfielder and his defensive contribution is pretty good. Keita might have got the number 8 jersey, but Ramsey is someone who has done well in the number 8 role for Arsenal.

Ramsey’s output from midfield is pretty impressive and in a setup like Liverpool’s, his numbers will only improve.

We’ll have to wait and see how this true this transfer speculation is. Liverpool have decent depth in that midfield. However, if they can sign Ramsey in the coming days, they would be in a good position to challenge for the Premier League title.

I stumbledupon it here I am going to return yet again since I saved as a favorite it.
