As per one of the latest reports by Sky Sports, Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is one the verge of moving to the ranks of AC Milan on a season-long loan. The Italian giants will have an option to buy him permanently for £35.56m.
Having arrived from Monaco for £40m last summer, the French international started 25 games in the Premier League for the Blues. In the process, he scored 2 goals and garnered 2 assists and also made 2.2 tackles, 1.3 interceptions, 1.2 clearances and 0.2 blocks per game on an average.
However, he isn’t in the plans of Chelsea’s new manager Maurizio Sarri and has been left disappointed owing to the same. Besides, the London based outfit have lured Jorginho to the Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window from Napoli to strengthen their midfield.
Bakayoko’s exit should prove to be beneficial for all the parties. The 23-year-old was absent from Chelsea’s squad during their opening fixture against Huddersfield Town. Sarri’s troops registered a thumping 3-0 win over the Terriers at the Kirklees Stadium and are due to face their arch-rivals Arsenal this Saturday at their own backyard.
