Unlike their arch-rivals Rangers, Celtic have been relatively quiet in the ongoing transfer window. The Celts have signed just three outfit players in Odsonne Edouard, Daniel Arzani and Emilio Izaguirre so far and are expected to churn some deals before the transfer window shuts down on 31st August.
As per one of the latest reports by Express, the Scottish champions are keeping close tabs on Aberdeen centre-back Scott McKenna and Wolfsburg defensive ace Jeffrey Bruma. While McKenna is rated at £10m, Wolfsburg have slapped a price tag of £5m on Bruma’s collar.
McKenna was a subject of interest from Hill City and Swansea City earlier this summer after he became an instrumental player for the Dons last term, but his move didn’t materialize. He has previously plied his trade for Ayr and Alloa on loan and there is no denying that the 21-year-old is a valuable asset in Scottish football at the moment.
Meanwhile, Wolfsburg are reportedly willing to strike Bruma off their books and he was left out of their squad during their German Cup clash against SV Elversberg last weekend. On being asked about the centre-back’s exit, Wolfsburg managing director Jorg Schmadtke said: “I do not participate in speculation, but we still have no offer.”
