Predicted 4-3-3 Liverpool Lineup vs Leicester City

Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool are off to the best possible start in the league this season. They are yet to find their best form but have already won three games on the trot without conceding a goal. They are now top of the table, level on points with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur and they will look to continue their winning run this weekend.

Liverpool will travel to the King Power to take on a Leicester City side who recently knocked Fleetwood out of the League Cup.

The Foxes lost to Manchester United on the opening day but beat Wolves and Southampton in the subsequent two games. Playing at home, Claude Puel’s side will believe that they can push Liverpool in search of a point or more.

Liverpool – Team News

The Reds are still without the services of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who remains the only long-term absentee for the club. Klopp is also without Dejan Lovren who has a pelvic injury.

Joel Matip is back to full fitness and played a few minutes against Brighton, but it’s unlikely he’ll start against Leicester.

Expected Liverpool lineup (4-3-3)

Defence

Alisson Becker has kept three clean sheets and is yet to concede in the Premier League. He has had to make just six saves and will hope for a similar outing this weekend as well. Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez together have won seven aerial duels, 3.3 tackles and 2.3 interceptions per game and remain the only defenders yet to concede this season. They will be up against Kelechi Iheanacho, in the absence of Vardy and could have yet another comfortable night.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has 2.3 tackles and 1.7 interceptions per game and should keep his place at right-back while Andrew Robertson, who has created six chances already this season, is Klopp’s first choice left-back for this game.

Midfield

Georginio Wijnaldum was one of the best players for Liverpool in the 1-0 victory against Brighton last week. He should start as a deep-lying midfielder alongside James Milner, who already has a goal and an assist to his name, to add to the 1.7 interceptions and two tackles per game.

Naby Keita has bettered those figures and wins three tackles per game and also has a passing accuracy of 89%. He has also created four chances, making close to two dribbles a game and could be the real danger in the middle of the park.

Attack

Mohamed Salah has two goals, an assist and has won a penalty for his side so far this season and undoubtedly will be the real test for Leicester City. He will be up against Ben Chilwell, who could have a tough game.

Sadio Mane is Liverpool’s top scorer this season with three goals to his name already this season. He didn’t have the best of games against Brighton, though, and will want to raise his game this Saturday.

Roberto Firmino has two assists to his name and will look to get on the score sheet for the first time this season.
