Harry Kane’s last chance to beat Salah: Predicted 4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur XI vs Leicester City

Tottenham Hotspur will look to end their season on a positive note when they host former Premier League champions Leicester City on Sunday in what will be the final midday of yet another enthralling season.

Currently standing third on the league table, the Lilywhites have very little to play for, having already secured Champions League qualification for next season. However, finishing ahead of this season’s Champions League finalists Liverpool could prove to be their main target this weekend.

Leicester City, on the other hand, have played quite well under Claude Puel and will try to cap off a relatively good season on a positive note, with a win against Tottenham on Sunday. In addition, coming on the back of an impressive 3-1 win over Arsenal could give them the much-needed boost ahead of their highly anticipated encounter this weekend.

Here’s the predicted Tottenham lineup to feature against the Foxes…

Tottenham Hotspur probable XI

Defence

Tottenham have a couple of issues in their defensive department with right-back Serge Aurier being labelled as doubtful due to his thigh problem. Kieran Trippier is also out with a knee injury he sustained against Newcastle, meaning we could see highly rated centre-back Toby Alderweireld to be deployed in that right-back positive this weekend.

Davinson Sanchez and Jan Vertonghen will retain their positive on the central defence position. Both of the defenders have been rock solid, especially in the second half of the season. Elsewhere, Danny Rose is expected to start as the left-sided fullback.

Hugo Lloris will be the back between the sticks for the Lilywhites this weekend.

Midfield

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino will be dealt with a host of problems in the midfield area especially with the likes of Mousa Dembele, Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama being doubtful to start while youngster Harry Winks also being ruled out.

Therefore, we might see Moussa Sissoko back in the starting eleven, accompanied by Christian Eriksen, who will move into a slightly deeper role in central midfield.

Attack

Tottenham’s attacking line will consist of Dele Alli, Heung-Min Son and Erik Lamela.

Lamela, in particular, will have a point to prove, after suffering from injuries throughout his time with Spurs. The Argentinian’s performance will be important as he looks to find pastures new in the upcoming summer transfer window.

England international Harry Kane will lead the attack for the North-London giants this weekend and will have a final chance of trying to better Mohamed Salah’s goal tally to try and win the golden boot.
