Arsenal player ratings vs Huddersfield Town: Aubameyang dazzles, Bellerin flops

In what was Arsene Wenger’s final game in charge of Arsenal, the Gunners secured all three points as they clinched a 0-1 win over Huddersfield Town at the Kirklees Stadium. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goal in the first-half proved to be the difference between the two sides.

David Ospina 7/10

The Columbian international had a fine outing under the bar. He made a couple of very important saves, including the save to deny Tom Ince.

Hector Bellerin 5/10

Bellerin hardly contributed anything substantial offensively and was questionable defensively as well.

Rob Holding 7/10

The youngster fared well against Steve Mounie and after a stuttering start, he gathered himself well at the back as the game progressed.

Shkodran Mustafi 6/10

Mustafi kept things neat and tidy and marshalled the back line pretty well.

Sead Kolasinac 6.5/10

The former Schalke man was spectacular in his attacking endeavours and went very close to scoring a goal. He might have been sloppy in possession at times but overall, he certainly made his presence felt.

Granit Xhaka 6/10

It wasn’t a superb game for the Swiss international but he did a good job in the middle of the park to shield the defence.

Aaron Ramsey 6/10

Ramsey was lively and made some stupendous driving runs forward.

Alex Iwobi 6/10

He was wasteful in possession at times but over the course of his stay on the pitch, he showcased a lot of commitment and will be looking forward to next season.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan 6.5/10

The Armenian international was thoroughly involved in the process for the only goal scored in the game. His build-up play was impressive and having settled in well, will be eager for next season.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 7.5/10

Aubameyang scored yet another goal after he made the most of his predatory instincts. The Gabon international was alive inside the box most of the times and continued his fine start to life in England.

Alexandre Lacazette 6/10

The Frenchman lacked the requisite pace but he showed great strength and useful hold-up play.

Substitutions

Danny Welbeck 5/10

Having replaced Aubameyang, Welbeck was lively on the pitch but missed a good opportunity to find the back of the net.

Nacho Monreal 5/10

Monreal replaced Kolasinac in the second-half and apart from a momentary lapse of concentration, the Spaniard looked reliable.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles 4/10

The starlet didn’t have any sort of impact after coming on in place of Iwobi.
