3-5-2 Huddersfield Town Predicted Lineup To Face Arsenal: Can Wagner Spoil Wenger’s Party?

David Wagner gave The Terriers a season to remember as he managed to keep Huddersfield Town safe in an extremely difficult season. Their 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge at the weekend made sure that they avoided relegation and the manager will be pretty happy with the way his side have responded under pressure late in the season.

They have one more game to go and will look to finish it off on a strong note when they welcome Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal for the manager’s last game in charge of the London outfit. The Gunners have not picked up a single point on the road in the league this year and will want to put that straight but Wagner’s men have picked up two points from trips to Etihad and Stamford Bridge in the last two games and will be quietly confident. Team News:

In early team news, Elias Kachunga and Danny Williams are ruled out for this weekend and are the only absentees for this game. Michael Hefele is back in training after his knee injury and could make the bench for the final game of the season.

Defence:

Jonas Lossl put on a superb show against Chelsea and deserves to keep his place under the bar against Arsenal. The manager has stuck to a fixed backline for most of the season and should continue with Christopher Schindler at the heart of the defence for this game.

Mathias Jorgensen has been effective to the right of Schindler and will start there while Terence Kongolo will look to add some stability to the backline on the left side of the back 3 for The Terriers.

Midfield:

Chris Lowe did not last the whole game against Chelsea but should be back in his wing-back role on the left flank while Tommy Smith will retain his place on the right flank as a wing-back for this game.

Jonathan Hogg has been crucial to Town’s chances this season and will keep his place at the heart of the midfield against Arsenal. Aaron Mooy had a decent game against Chelsea and should keep his place in the midfield alongside Florent Hadergjonaj, who only came off the bench against Chelsea.

Attack:

Laurent Depoitre scored the opener at Stamford Bridge earlier in the week and will be the danger man for Arsenal. He will lead the attack alongside Alex Pritchard, who also came off the bench against The Blues.
