Arsenal have everything to lose when they take the field to play CSKA Moscow in the quarterfinals of the Europa League. Currently languishing in the 6th spot in the Premier League standings, Arsene Wenger’s men need to win the European competition to be able to play in the UEFA Champions League next season.
Wenger does not have a lot of injury issues to worry about. Cech has a niggle but Ospina is anyways the cup keeper. Santi Cazorla is a long-term absentee while Welbeck should be fit to play after recovering from a back issue. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is ineligible.
David Ospina will be in goal. Hector Bellerin is the default choice at right-back. The central defensive duo will be Koscielny and Mustafi. While Nacho Monreal will be take up his place at left-back.
In the midfield pivot, Aaron Ramsey is expected to be partnered with the hard-tackling Granit Xhaka.
In the attacking trio behind the lone striker, we are likely to see Mkhitaryan on the left while Ozil will be on the right side with Jack Wilshere operating through the middle.
Up front, we are likely to see Welbeck start with Wenger expressing doubts over Lacazette’s readiness to start the game but the Frenchman is sure to play some part in the match.
