Real Madrid Star Desperate For A Switch: Why Arsenal Should Make A Move

Lifting the Europa League title might give Arsene Wenger another year at Arsenal but the French mastermind is not looking to take any chances this time and is desperate to sign some of the best players in Europe this summer. Arsenal has been linked with a host of exciting stars recently and one name now doing the rounds is Dani Ceballos.

Ceballos Ready To Quit Real

The Spanish midfielder joined Real Madrid after a superb showing in the UEFA European U21 Championships, where he was named the player of the tournament but has failed to cement a place in the first team at Bernabeu, failing to impress manager Zinedine Zidane. And with Real planning, a massive squad overhaul this summer, the youngster is fearful of his first-team chances and is ready for a move this summer.

Liverpool are reportedly also in the hunt and it is now understood that Ceballos has been given the green light to find new destinations. He has a release clause of €500m but will cost way less if Real are ready to sell. So is he the right man for Arsenal?

Ceballos And His Style Of Play

A product of the academy at Betis, the 21-year old has managed just two La Liga starts this season where he has picked up a couple of goals but has just not been given enough chances to find any consistency at the Spanish capital.

A central midfielder, who specializes in creating space in the middle of the park, Ceballos is a forward-thinking player, who is always looking for a path-breaking pass. He is pleasing to the eye when on the ball and is more often than not, productive with it. He can dribble past opponents or set up goals for his side from a deeper role and is a complete midfielder.

His strength in hold up play and positioning sense along with the understanding of the game make him a matured player and at just 21, he is only going to get better. He is widely regarded as one of the best youngsters in Spain at the moment and will be a huge coup for Arsenal.

Chances At Arsenal

The Gunners have a midfield crisis coming up this summer. While Jack Wilshere is expected to leave the club on a free transfer, Aaron Ramsey continues to be linked with an exit. Mohamed Elneny has signed a new deal but is not a first-team option yet while Granit Xhaka remains the best option for Wenger.

So the manager is surely active in the market searching for a midfielder and Ceballos is as good an option as any. He will fit into the system under Wenger perfectly, can walk into the first team and will be a genuine match winner, if given enough opportunities in the first team.

But is he the best option for Arsenal?
