Key Change Up Front: Predicted 4-4-2 West Bromwich Albion Line-up Vs Huddersfield Town

West Bromwich Albion have been timorous throughout the season and it isn’t really surprising to see them stagnating at the last spot in the Premier League table. They really need to resurrect their form in the coming days or else things their days in the top flight might be severely numbered.

On Saturday, Alan Pardew’s men are due to host David Wagner’s Huddersfield Town at the Hawthorns in what promises to be a competitive game at the onset. Considering the absence of a few players, here is how we expect Pardew to roll out his starting XI this weekend.

Team News

The Baggies are likely to be bereft of the services of Daniel Sturridge after the striker’s hamstring injury against Chelsea during his side’s last Premier League fixture, which was against Chelsea. Besides, James Morrison is set to remain sidelined as he is recovering from ligament damage. However, Kieran Gibbs and Jake Livermore are expected to return following their brief spells out.

Goalkeeper

Ben Foster is likely to be handed the gloves once again. In 26 appearances so far, the 34-year-old shot-stopper has notched up 7 clean sheets and has made 2.31 saves per match on an average and he has to be on his game against the Terriers.

Defence

Kieran Gibbs could return to the left-back position and he has a major role to play down the left. Jonny Evans and Ahmed Hegazy could be partnered at the heart of the backline of the Throstles. In the right-back position, Craig Dawson is likely to start thus completing the four-man defensive wall.

Midfield

Gareth Barry’s experience should come handy in the upcoming fixture and he is expected to be pencilled in the middle of the park alongside Grzegorz Krychowiak. They need to read the game well and shield the backline meticulously as the Baggies cannot afford any more individual mistakes and slip-ups.

From the left side of the midfield, Chris Brunt is expected to start in order to keep things lively with his creative prowess and on the other side, Matt Phillips will get the nod. Phillips has scored just 1 goal and has registered 2 assists in 20 Premier League games so far this season and it goes without saying that he needs to contribute more.

Attack

Up front, Salomon Rondon and Jay Rodriguez are expected to line up. Finding the back of the net has been a major headache for Albion this season and thus, there is no denying that these two, if given the nod to start would be under immense pressure to perform.
