Dembele gets a 9: Tottenham Hotspur players rated in 1-0 win over Arsenal

English international Harry Kane stole the show again as his header early in the second half decided the North London Derby. Both teams struggled to get a grip on the game but Kane’s header from Ben Davies’ cross was all that separated both teams at the end of the 90 minutes, as Spurs managed to avenge the 2-0 defeat at Emirates earlier in the season.

Spurs have now taken seven points from consecutive games against Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United and move into the top-4 of the points table, with Liverpool set to play Southampton tomorrow. Here are the player ratings for the hosts in this tie:

Was quick to snuff out any danger, giving Arsenal no space in behind the backline and made one good save, helping himself to an easy clean sheet.

Kieran Trippier (6):

Did well to keep Arsenal attacks down his flank to a minimum but needs to improve on his delivery into the box in the final third.

Jan Vertonghen (7):

Hardly put a foot wrong, getting the better of Aubameyang and frustrating the visitors all night.

Davinson Sanchez (7):

Had a lot of work to do, against the likes of Ozil and Mkhitaryan but kept them quiet all game, showing his pace and strength in and around the box.

Ben Davies (7):

The best full-back on the field, Davies produced the cross for the winner and never allowed the Gunners to get in behind.

Eric Dier (7):

Played a huge role in taking the tooth out of most Arsenal attacks, complementing Dembele well in the middle of the park.

Mousa Dembele (9):

Most Spurs attacks went through the Belgian midfielder, who strolled past the Arsenal midfielders with ease, creating a number of half chances and keeping the pressure on Wenger’s side.

Christian Eriksen (6):

A couple of decent crosses to trouble Arsenal in the box but was aware of his defensive work, winning the ball back a number of times and keeping his side on top.

Heung Min-Son (6):

Started the game brightly but slowly faded away, failing to provide width or pace.

Dele Alli (5):

Struggled to get into the game for most of the afternoon and missed a sitter in the second half, that would have avoided a nervous end to the game.

Harry Kane (7):

Scoring his 7^th goal against the Gunners, Kane was too hot to handle on a number of occasions for the likes of Koscielny and Mustafi, as he decided yet another North London Derby.

Was a useful outlet late in the game for Spurs, who mounted pressure and kept Arsenal away from their goal.
