Key Change In Defence: Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup vs Burnley

Mauricio Pochettino will be desperate for the three points when his side take on Burnley today as any more hiccups will severely deplete their chances of a Top 4 place. Spurs have been inconsistent this season as their bright European campaign has seen the domestic assignments take a hit.

They will face a resolute Burnley side and will have to bank upon their talented attacking quartet to come up with the goods.

Team News:

Victor Wanyama continues to remain out of the first team action. Erik Lamela is being eased into the fold and hence expect him to be on the bench today. Toby Alderweireld has been ruled out until February. His absence has been sorely felt by Poch as the team has lost their defensive balance without the Belgian. Davinson Sanchez will return to the starting XI after serving his three-match ban.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Defence:

Hugo Lloris has not been at his best in the last few weeks and it seems that the groin injury that he suffered early last month is a factor in his inconsistent form. Lloris still has the commanding nature and can marshal the backline well.

Davinson Sanchez will slot directly into the starting lineup and he will be partnered by Jan Vertonghen. As we enter the busy Christmas period, Pochettino would prefer resting his first choice full backs. Hence, Danny Rose and Serge Aurier will be playing in the fullback positions. Both of them have incredible pace and can be quite decisive going into the opponent’s half.

Midfield:

Harry Winks and Eric Dier will be the two defensive midfielders occupying the deep positions. Dier has always been more comfortable playing as a defence minded midfielder. Winks, on the other hand, has been consistent, composed with his displays. Both of them hardly misplace passes and perform their defensive duties admirably.

Attack:

Son-Heung Min has found the back of the net frequently in recent weeks and thrives while playing on the wing. Christian Eriksen’s crossing ability and excellent passing range makes him suitable for the left wing too.

Dele Alli has found it tough to get going this season and will be eager to get back into form and repay the faith shown by the manager in him. Harry Kane will lead the line. Kane has scored thrice in his last five Premier League games.

However, his workload should be managed appropriately and hence it would be interesting to see how the manager battles his lack of attacking options during the busy Christmas period!

It is pretty value enough for me. Personally, if all viagra owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be a lot more
