Chelsea player ratings vs Leicester City: Who impressed and who didn’t?

Chelsea made it three wins in three, beating Leicester City 2-1 at the King Power Stadium. Goals from Alvaro Morata and N’Golo Kanté helped their cause as Jamie Vardy’s penalty wasn’t enough for Leicester in the end. With the win, Chelsea climbed up to third in the league table.

Here are our Chelsea Player ratings:

Thibaut Courtois – 6.5/10

He was not disturbed much, apart from an effort from Islam Slimani. He was the architect of his own disaster as he committed a silly foul which cost Chelsea the penalty and hence a goal.

Cesar Azpilicueta – 8/10

Tidy as ever, he cleaned up whatever came his way. Also, he is making it a habit to supply dream passes every game. Provided the assist to Morata.

David Luiz – 7.5/10

A good game for the Brazilian, he came off his line many times to save the through balls, intercept or clear the ball. He kept playing his typical long balls up front and also made a few attacking forays.

Antonio Rudiger – 7.5/10

A safe and sound performance by the German international. He brought in cover down the left side whenever Alonso was on offensive duties. He avoided crosses from coming into the box. He also tracked down runs down his side.

Victor Moses – 6.5/10

An off and on game, showed glimpses of bursting pace and crosses but struggled to have much of the ball at times. Should have done better in his final deliveries.

Tiémoué Bakayoko – 8/10

Allowed Alonso and Moses to play further up the pitch. He was strong, won the ball on many occasions, possessed high passing accuracy and helped in the counter attacking department too.

Cesc Fabregas – 7.5/10

A few shockers here and there with short passes and corners but supplied throughout the game. He played beautifully weighted passes, through balls and killed the off-side trap with some passes over the top.

N’Golo Kanté – 9/10

Scored against his former club, he seems to destroy them every time they meet, in spite of the discouragement from his ex-team’s supporters. Won the ball back as usual and provided zero breathing space to the foxes.

Marcos Alonso – 8.5/10

An all-round effort as always. Found pockets of space smartly for himself and won aerial duels.

Pedro – 6/10

Tried to take on defenders, but didn’t get into the box which made it hard for Morata as he got isolated and gave away possession too many times. An outing he would want to forget.

Alvaro Morata – 8.5/10

Pinpoint header to get the goal. He was willing to exploit different areas as he lacked support from Pedro. Excellent first touch throughout. He must show more strength though, and fight more often for the ball.

Substitutes

Willian – 7.5/10

Found space for himself, dribbled past players with ease, played some smooth football. Did everything right today. He also almost curled one in, a shot which was a whisker away from goal.

Davide Zappacosta – 7/10

Won aerial battles, went up front fearlessly and took a shot which almost went in. A good debut for the Italian international.

Eden Hazard – 7/10

Made an impact right from the word go, he kept his cheeky little passes going along with the flicks and sudden burst of pace. It’s good news for Chelsea and Conte.

Wow, this piece of writing is fastidious, my sister is analyzing these things, thus I am going to inform her viagra.
