It ain’t over till it’s over. Manchester United are off to a flyer this season with 3 wins, 10 goals and 3 clean sheets in the Premier League. They have signed a number of superstars already to add to the signings of last summer.
But nothing can seemingly get the better of them if they snatch Gareth Bale from Madrid and bring him back to England. United have admired him for long and they might end up making the impossible, possible. Jose, too, accepts he wanted Bale since the start of transfer window. It looked far-fetched and the Portuguese manager termed it ‘game over’ in signing him earlier.
But with a couple of days left for the window to shut, the chances of Bale moving to United have grown manifold after a bid from the Red Devils today.
If stats were to speak, Gareth Bale would be amongst the very best in football history and if stats weren’t to, he would still be right up there. He is a player who comes with unbelievable ability in his veins and up his sleeve.
He started his senior career at Southampton as a left back, quietly earning his reputation as a free kick specialist. He then moved to Spurs for £7m and fortune, fate and tactical changes saw him evolve into a winger. The rest is history, though. He has scored 68 goals in 154 appearances for Madrid and 55 goals in 203 appearances for Spurs. He represents Wales and has won Welsh player of the year on 6 occasions to date.
Anything and everything that a winger possesses. He is a master at dead ball situations, can embarrass defenders with storming pace. He is difficult to contain most of the times, is one of the best shooters from a long distance in the world and is technically gifted and strong.
He can cross accurately and make defences look silly with his delivery and also can head the ball strongly. He is physically imposing, agile, swift and extraordinary. He will offer all these qualities to Jose’s side if he ends up at Manchester.
There are no doubts in his ability as he has already bullied Premier League defences too, during his time at Spurs. He comes with chunks of experience and is likely to burn the grass with pace and fury.
Totally. Manchester United have given a two-day deadline to Madrid to accept the offer of £93m and Bale claims he wants to go only to Manchester United if he is to return. He can win Jose trophies single handedly. A smashing, chart-breaking move might be on its way.
