Brighton & Hove Albion Targeting This Everton Outcast: Can He Ensure Safety For The Seagulls?

Ronald Koeman is undoubtedly indulged in the process of revolutionising Everton and has already added some quality names to their armoury this summer. The Toffees finished 7th in the Premier League table in the previous campaign and Koeman is constructing a side capable of challenging for a place in the top four berth of the league table.

Signings such as Wayne Rooney, Jordan Pickford, Davy Klaassen, Michael Keane and Henry Onyekuru have already beefed up the quality of their squad. However, the Blues are also apparently aiming to strike some players off their books owing to the utility they have on offer and one such player whose days at Goodison Park is severely numbered is Oumar Niasse.

Niasee was signed by the Premier League outfit in the January transfer window of 2016 when Roberto Martinez was in-charge of the club for a whopping £13.5million. However, the 27-year-old striker has completely fallen out of favour under the stewardship of Koeman and was in fact sent out on loan to Hull City for the second half of the 2016-17 Premier League season.

For the Tigers, Niasse banged 4 goals and bagged an assist in 17 league appearances but has failed to impress the former Southampton manager. Considering that Everton are all set to sell him, Premier League newcomers in the shape of Brighton & Hove Albion have put the Senegal international on their radar in order to beef up their attacking arsenal.

The Seagulls carved an excellent season in the Championship which earned them a promotion to the English top flight. However, Chris Hughton isn’t unfamiliar with the animosity which the Premier League would have on offer and no wonder he is making the necessary ramifications to his squad. Sam Baldock and Glenn Murray are ageing and thus, signing a fleet footed gunman with Premier League experience will only better their credentials.

In a scenario like this, Niasse could be an appealing option for the Seagulls and their interest to sign the former Lokomotiv Moscow man makes perfect sense. He is a strong and well-built forward who possesses an undeniable knack to take on the defenders. Besides, he is clinical and is versatile enough to ply his trade on the flanks as well.

A move to the ranks of Albion should be the resort to help Niasse reshape his career for good as his value is only likely to see a downward trajectory at Everton. Further, Hughton should ensure that he has a good squad with a decent depth and should really step up their pursuit of making Niasse sign on the dotted line.
