Jose Mourinho moans about a small squad after 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur

On what was a historic day at the White Hart Lane, Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United tried and failed to sour the occasion for hosts Tottenham Hotspur. United were the 19th team who failed to get three points from the Lane.

Spurs were the stronger and the better side on the afternoon as goals from Victor Wanyama and Harry Kane set them on the victory path. Wayne Rooney’s goal (was it really?) made matters slightly more interesting towards the end but the North Londoners held on and picked up a 2-1 win.

Manchester United weren’t necessarily all that weak as the likes of Mata, Rooney and Martial started in attack, yet Mourinho had more time to moan in the post-match interview.

United have played a lot of games this season, but that doesn’t mean they are immune to criticism. They still have one of the most expensively assembled and deep squads in the league.

Lest we forget, it was Jose himself who allowed the likes of Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin and Depay leave the club in the winter transfer window, so it doesn’t make much sense to argue about not having players, does it?

Here’s what the Portuguese had to say, “When people say that we gambled by going for the Europa League, we didn’t gamble because nobody can play two big competitions with 15 players and this is what we had at the time. We didn’t gamble, it was a compulsory option. So I am happy with the situation today.”

I must say that youve done a amazing job with this read.
