Arsenal bounced back from two successive away defeats with a 3-0 trouncing of Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday.

After a shaky start, Alexandre Lacazette got the ball rolling for the Gunners as he capped off an exquisite move with a smart finish into the top corner.

Martin Odegaard added a second just six minutes later when he powered Kieran Tierney’s looping cross past Willy Caballero in the Southampton goal.

Gabriel added gloss to the score line with a third in the 62nd minute as Arsenal moved up to 6th in the table, just one point behind West Ham United, who have a game in hand.

On that note, here’s a look at how the Arsenal players fared at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday:

Arsenal players ratings vs Southampton

Aaron Ramsdale – 9/10

The Englishman was once again in fine form as he denied the Saints time and again. Ramsdale made a number of key saves to keep Arsenal in the lead and his distribution was on point as well. Helped Arsenal play out of trouble on a number of occasions with pinpoint passes.

Kieran Tierney – 8/10

Looked a threat on the left flank and provided the assist for Odegaard’s goal.

Gabriel – 8/10

Started off shakily as Southampton pressed high up the pitch and picked up an early card but settled down as the game progressed. Scored Arsenal’s third with a thumping header in the second half.

Ben White – 7/10

Like Gabriel, White started off poorly and gave away possession on a number of occasions. But he improved drastically after Arsenal’s opener and helped his team break the Southampton press with his distribution.

Takehiro Tomiyasu – 8/10

Made a smart tackle to deny Kyle Walker-Peters and also linked up well with Bukayo Saka. Played an important role in the build-up for Arsenal’s opener.

Thomas Partey – 6/10

A major improvement from his display against Everton, but still appears to be a shadow of the dominant player he was at Atletico Madrid. Failed to exert his influence on proceedings.

Granit Xhaka – 5/10

Looked extremely rusty and coughed up possession far too many times in the first half. Put in a much-improved display in the second period as Arsenal controlled the game.

Bukayo Saka – 8/10

Was at the heart of most of Arsenal’s attacks. Saka provided the assist for Arsenal’s opener and was unlucky not to get on the score-sheet in the second half when his curling effort struck the post.

Martin Odegaard – 9/10

Finally seems to have settled in at Arsenal. Odegaard produced one of his finest displays in an Arsenal shirt, scoring for the third consecutive game. Linked up brilliantly with his teammates and helped Arsenal carve Southampton open on a number of occasions.

Gabriel Martinelli – 7/10

Added plenty of energy to the Arsenal attack and kept the Southampton defenders on their toes. His inch-perfect corners troubled Willy Caballero throughout the game and he provided the assist for Gabriel’s goal.

Alexandre Lacazette – 7/10

Gave Arsenal the lead with a smart finish in the 21st minute. Linked up well with Saka and Martinelli and could have had a couple more goals if he was more inclined to pull the trigger.

Substitutes

Rob Holding – 6/10

Looked solid after replacing Gabriel in the 69th minute.

Albert Sambi Lokonga – NA

Brought on for Granit Xhaka for the final 10 minutes as Arsenal looked to close out the game.

Nicolas Pepe – NA

Replaced Lacazette in the closing stages and did not have enough time to make an impact.
