Club Will Consider ‘exceptional offers’ For English Superstar: Liverpool Among 3 Potential Destinations| Opinion

Borussia Dortmund could sell Jadon Sancho if they are offered a big sum in the summer transfer window. The English winger has been sensational since joining the German side in 2017 from Manchester City. He has scored 46 goals and racked up 60 assists in 130 appearances for the German club.

Dortmund’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke recently stated that the club will consider selling Sancho if they receive “exceptional offers”. The 21-year-old currently has two years remaining on his contract at Dortmund.

Let’s take a look at 3 clubs that should make a move for Jadon Sancho

Manchester United

English side Manchester United will be the frontrunners to sign Jadon Sancho, having pursued him last summer as well. United baulked at the price tag set by Dortmund but could land him for a cheaper price this season.

The Red Devils lack an X-factor in the final third and have struggled, especially, against teams that sit back and defend deep. A tricky and quick winger like Jadon Sancho could help United break down stubborn defences, which United have lacked in recent years. The English side lack a natural high-class right-sided winger, with the likes of Mason Greenwood and Daniel James still developing their games, while Amad Diallo is still a raw talent.

Real Madrid

Real Madrid are in desperate need of a rebuild and this summer could be the time when they get rid of a few players to replace them with some quality talent. The La Liga giants will need one or two new faces in attack, especially in the wide areas, as the likes of Lucas Vázquez, Marco Asensio, Rodrygo and Vinícius Júnior have been inconsistent.

Madrid have also not had the services of star winger Eden Hazard for long periods of the season due to injury. Jadon Sancho could slot in well on the right and set up goals, as well as score them, which Madrid have lacked from the wide areas, instead depending largely on Karim Benzema to provide crucial breakthroughs. The 21-year-old could be a player around which Real Madrid could build a new attack.

Liverpool

Liverpool have also previously been interested in signing Jadon Sancho as Jurgen Klopp revealed in 2019 that the club wanted to sign the English youngster. While the Reds have two world-class wingers in Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, and a talented young winger in Diogo Jota, the Premier League side may want to freshen up their attack with the addition of a player like Sancho.

There have also been rumours of Salah leaving Liverpool in the summer, which would make Sancho a like-for-like replacement. If the Egyptian does leave the club, he could go for a huge sum, perhaps in excess of £100 million, which could be used to sign Sancho.
