Manchester United travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to play Spurs in their 31st fixture in this season of the Premier League. The Red Devils are coming into this game on the back of a comfortable 0-2 win over Granada in the Europa League.

Tottenham Hotspur had a full week to prepare for the game and their manager will be desperate to bag all 3 points, which the Lilywhites need to keep the pressure on Chelsea and West Ham United for the fourth spot.

Spurs are also aiming to complete their first league double over Manchester United since the 1980-1990 season, having defeated them 6-1 earlier this season.

Manchester United Team News

Anthony Martial and Phil Jones remain long-term absentees. Ole reported a couple of niggles picked up by Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba in the Europa League game but stressed that both are expected to be fit for Sunday.

Erick Bailly remains out due to Covid-19 protocol.

Predicted Man United lineup to face Tottenham Hotspur (4-2-3-1)

Defence

De Gea featured in the midweek match but we expect Dean Henderson to slot back in as the goalkeeper.

Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are likely to start as the centre-backs in the Man United lineup. There are question marks regarding the left-back position but we expect Luke Shaw to retain his place while Aaron Wan-Bissaka should start once again at right-back.

Midfield

Ole has a number of options to choose from in midfield.

Fred and McTominay are the usual starters in games of this magnitude. And even though the former isn’t in the best of forms, if Pogba is not risked his chances of starting in the Man United lineup increases substantially.

Bruno Fernandes seems set to start once again and will occupy the no.10 role behind the striker.

Nemanja Matic and Donny van de Beek are further options.

Attack

With the tie against Granada poised perfectly for United, they are likely to field the strongest available forward line.

Mason Greenwood failed to impress as the striker and might be shifted back to the right-wing. Marcus Rashford could be handed another start in the Man United lineup on the left while Edinson Cavani should lead the line tomorrow.
