Stefano Pioli’s side were beaten by Napoli in the Serie A on Sunday in what was a big blow to their Serie A hopes.
Manchester United, meanwhile, kept the heat on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League and picked up a slender 1-0 win against West Ham United.
