4 Changes With Start For Cavani: 4-2-3-1 Man United Predicted Lineup vs Fulham

man united lineup

Manchester United will have a chance to go atop the Premier League standings when they face Fulham later today.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has defied all expectations to mount a title challenge with his much-maligned group of superstars. Many critics had written the lot off with the big-name players bearing the maximum brunt.

But with half of the season played, the team is looking comfortably perched in the top 4 while also flirting with the top spot and will look to beat a decent Fulham side who will be eyeing an upset of their own.

Manchester United face Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday and we might see a couple of selections being impacted by that impending fixture.

TEAM NEWS

Ole does not have any new injury issues to worry about and that is a welcome change for the club in a difficult time, fixture wise.

DEFENCE

Even though Dean Henderson is likely to start against Liverpool in the FA Cup, David de Gea is expected to retain his place in goal against Fulham.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was excellent while dealing with Sadio Mane and Ole will want him to shore up his flank in a similar manner.

We could see Victor Lindelof afforded a rest given his injury troubles. Eric Bailly should get a start in that case in the Man United lineup alongside Harry Maguire.

Luke Shaw was United’s best player against Liverpool and is unlikely to be rotated against the Cottagers.

MIDFIELD

Scott McTominay and Fred have performed well against the big guns and have fortified the middle of the park. But the duo could be handed a breather with United expected to come up against a low block.

This could see Nemanja Matic get a start alongside the rejuvenated Paul Pogba in the Man United lineup.

Donny van de Beek will not be faulted for expecting a start but Bruno Fernandes seems undroppable in his manager’s eyes and should take up the no.10 role in the Man United lineup.

ATTACK

Marcus Rashford should retain his place on the left. He was not at his best against the Reds and will look for a confidence-boosting display tonight.

Mason Greenwood is expected to feature as the inverted winger on the right. He will also be keen to make an impression on Ole after having tailed off in recent weeks.

Anthony Martial should be replaced by the experienced Edinson Cavani who will look to shrug off the super-sub tag off of him.
