Manchester United are keen to strike Jesse Lingard off their books this summer, as per various reports.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is striving to bring fresh faces to Old Trafford and to make room for his prospective signings, he is looking to clear the deadwood.

Jesse Lingard was on the fringes throughout the 2019-20 season, mustering merely 9 starts in the league, and the Daily Mail have claimed that he could be shown the exit door.

The 27-year-old, despite his recent dip in form, will still be a quality acquisition for many English sides, and here are three potential destinations for him if he is on the move in the ongoing transfer window.

3 Potential Destinations For Jesse Lingard

Leicester City

Having previously spent time on loan at Leicester City, a move to the King Power Stadium will make a lot of sense for the once highly-rated England international. The Foxes thrive on an impressive counter-attacking strategy under the tutelage of their manager Brendan Rodgers and their style of play will suit Lingard.

Besides, Leicester City missed out on a Champions League spot by a whisker during the 2019-20 Premier League campaign, and with the Europa League obligations to cater to in the upcoming season, beefing up their attacking arsenal by signing Lingard will help them in their cause.

Sheffield United

Manchester United custodian Dean Henderson had spent a couple of seasons out on loan at Sheffield United, churning out excellent displays on a regular basis. The Blades, therefore, might fancy bringing Lingard from the red half of Manchester to challenge for a European place in the upcoming campaign. Their strong ties with the Manchester giants could also pave the way for a favourable deal, which will see a distinct elevation in the quality of their squad.

Although Chris Wilder’s men have been disciplined and resilient at the back, they lack depth and cutting edge in their attacking department. Jesse Lingard, with his experience and tenacity, could be an exciting recruit for them and he has the potential to improve their attacking prowess considerably.

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton & Hove Albion secured their survival in the top-flight of English football comfortably during the recently concluded campaign and it is about time they aim for a leap in their standards and take a shot at setting a slightly more ambitious target.

The Seagulls have some dazzling offensive players in Leandro Trossard and Neal Maupay, and their ranks have been further bolstered by the addition of Adam Lallana.

Someone like Jesse Lingard will elevate the quality of the first-team considerably and if the club can afford his wages, they should throw their hat in the ring if such a scenario unfolds.
