3 Big Changes Expected: Predicted 4-2-3-1 Manchester United Lineup vs Crystal Palace

Solskjaer will be confident of his side beating Chelsea

After their disappointing draw against Southampton on Monday night, Manchester United will  take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park later today.

The Red Devils will have to win to keep pace with Chelsea in, who are fourth in the Premier League table.

United were undone by a late goal against the Saints last time around as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side equalised in the dying embers of the game.

Despite the draw, the Red Devils are unbeaten in all competitions in their 18 games. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men lost to Crystal Palace in the reverse fixture at home earlier in the season, but the Eagles are in terrible form, having lost their last five Premier League games.

Manchester United Team News

Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe continue to be on the sidelines, while a few others have joined the treatment table.

Oriol Romeu’s high tackle on Mason Greenwood has left the teenager with a swollen ankle, and he could miss the game against Palace.

Luke Shaw also has an ankle injury and could miss the game. Brandon Williams, who was also removed in the game against Southampton, is a doubt for the clash as well.

Let’s take a look at the possible Manchester United lineup for the game against Crystal Palace:

Predicted Manchester United Lineup vs Crystal Palace

Goalkeeper

David de Gea will start in goal for United against Palace, and will hope to come away with a clean-sheet.

Defence

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will return to Selhurst Park for the first time since his transfer to Manchester United last summer, and he should start at right-back against his former club.

Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire should start in the centre-back roles. The left-back position is a bit of a worry for Solskjaer.

If Shaw and Williams are unavailable, the United manager could call upon Diogo Dalot to fill in that position in the Manchester United lineup.

Dalot has started just once in the Premier League this season, which came in the win against Norwich City – which was also his last appearance for United. Solskjaer could also give a debut to 18-year-old full-back Ethan Laird, who can play at right-back and left-back.

Midfield

Solskjaer could change things around in midfield and bring in Fred for Nemanja Matic, to add some energy to the middle of the park.

Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes should retain their places in the Manchester United lineup. Scott McTominay is an option for Solskjaer as well.

Attack

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial should retain their places, while Mason Greenwood’s absence means that Daniel James could get a chance to play on the right flank.
