Nuno To Unleash Attacking Star: Predicted 3-5-2 Wolves Lineup vs Arsenal

wolves

Wolves have been the surprise package once again this season, and after qualifying for the Europa League last year, they are now aiming to finish in the top four, and make it to next season’s Champions League.

They are currently 6th in the Premier League table, level on points with Manchester United who are in 5th, and have won all three of their games since the restart.

Wolves have registered wins over West Ham, Bournemouth, and more recently Aston Villa. However, all three sides are struggling in and around the relegation zone.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will have a tougher test this Saturday when they face the Gunners — who are in decent form — at home. Six points separate Wolves and 8th-placed Arsenal, as the Gunners will head into the game after registering an impressive 4-0 win against Norwich City.

Wolves Team News: Wolves have a fully fit squad for the game against Arsenal.

Let’s take a look at the possible Wolves lineup for the game against Arsenal:

Predicted Wolves Lineup vs Arsenal

Goalkeeper

Rui Patrício should start in goal for the game against Arsenal. Considering the Gunners have been in good form, the Portuguese could be called into action come Saturday.

Defence

The tried and tested defensive trio of Romain Saiss, Willy Boly, and captain Conor Coady should start at the back for Wolves against Arsenal.

The two wing-backs for Wolves will most likely be Jonny on the left side, while Matt Doherty should start on the right side as the right wing-back in the Wolves lineup.

Midfield

Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves should start in central midfield, while the scorer of the team’s winning goal against Aston Villa last time around, Leander Dendoncker, should also keep his place in the Wolves lineup.

Attack

One of Wolves’ star players this season, Adama Traore, has not started two of the last three games for Wolves.

Traore has come off the bench to register two assists in the last three Premier League games, and manager Espirito Santo will want to unleash the Spaniard on Arsenal’s fragile defence.

Traore has mainly played as a right-winger in the Wolves lineup, and at times as a right wing-back, but if Wolves are playing three central midfielders, Traore will have to play as part of a front two. He will maybe be allowed a free role, and will have the chance to drift out to the right at times.

He will join Raul Jimenez in attack, with Diogo Jota dropping to the bench.
