After a hard-fought win in the FA Cup against Norwich City, Manchester United turn their attention towards the Premier League once again, as they travel to Brighton. The Red Devils will be wary of the Seagulls as they have lost their last two Premier League games at the Amex Stadium.

Manchester United are currently sixth in the league, three points behind Wolves who have played one game more than the Red Devils. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have to get a win on Tuesday to keep the pressure on Wolves – and Chelsea – in the Premier League table.

Predicted Manchester United lineup for the game against Brighton

(4-2-3-1)

Goalkeeper

David de Gea should return as the goalkeeper after being rested for the FA Cup tie.

Defence

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire scored the late winner in the FA Cup, and despite playing all of United’s games since the restart, he should once again start in the Manchester United lineup given the importance of the game.

Eric Bailly took Victor Lindelof’s place in the United backline, but the Swedish defender should return for this game.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka should replace Diogo Dalot at right-back, while Luke Shaw might be rested for the clash which will see Brandon Williams feature in the Manchester United lineup at left-back.

Midfield

Scott McTominay and Fred played in the FA Cup game, but we could see one of the two – or both – drop out of this game for the inclusion of Paul Pogba. The Frenchman could be joined in midfield by McTominay or veteran midfielder, Nemanja Matic.

Bruno Fernandes played all 120 minutes of the FA Cup game and looked leggy and tired. Even though he has started all the games since the Premier League restarted, he should play in this tricky game against Brighton as United are better off with him in the team.

Attack

Last week’s hat-trick hero, Anthony Martial, came on in the 96th minute against the Canaries. He should start this time around, with Marcus Rashford starting off the left in the Manchester United lineup.

Mason Greenwood – who was a second-half substitute in the FA Cup game – looks likely to start but Daniel James could be preferred if Ole sticks to a 4-2-3-1 formation.
