Newcastle United Eye A £26m Transfer For Midfield Star: The Dynamism They Need?

Newcastle United are keen on signing Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who could be on his way out of the Italian club.

Rabiot has had a few off-field issues with Juventus, which could perhaps force him to leave the club he joined in the 2019 summer transfer window.

As per Calcio Mercato, the Magpies are one of the Premier League clubs interested in signing Rabiot.

We had reported recently about Everton’s interest in signing the Frenchman, while Manchester United are also keen on signing him, as per Express. Newcastle are willing to offer as much as £26 million to sign the 25-year-old midfielder.

Rabiot had joined Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer after rejecting a contract with the French club.

Is Adrien Rabiot the dynamism Newcastle United’s midfield needs?

Newcastle United are on the verge of being taken over by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, who are likely to offer a big transfer kitty to whoever is the manager.

The Magpies have been linked with quite a few big names recently, but it’s sensible buys like Rabiot that they should target.

Rabiot, at the price tag that Newcastle United are rumoured to offer, would be a great buy for the Premier League side. The Frenchman has vast experience, having debuted at the age of 17 for PSG, and becoming a key player for them. He won numerous trophies for the French side, and made over 200 appearances for them.

The French midfielder would be a quality signing for Newcastle United thanks to his passing ability, work-rate, as well as his physicality in midfield.

Rabiot is a good link player, who can keep the ball moving in midfield, and is also willing to bomb forward when given the opportunity.

He is good in the air and is strong with his tackling – qualities that the fervent Newcastle United fan-base would love in a midfielder.

Rabiot would be an upgrade over the midfield options that Newcastle United currently have, and could become an important cog in the new era that the Magpies are set to begin.

Signing Rabiot, who is still just 25 and has many good years ahead of him, should be a no-brainer for Newcastle United.
