Manchester United are looking to sign Borussia Dortmund’s young star Jadon Sancho in the summer, it has been reported.
The English international has been in incredible form since signing for the German club from Manchester City in 2017, and it is believed the Manchester United are one of the favourites to sign him in the summer.
As per Mirror Football, Manchester United could make a bid of £120million for the 19-year-old winger, and Dortmund would be willing to sell at that price. Chelsea are the other team who have been closely linked with a move for Sancho.
The Englishman has scored 15 goals and made 17 assists in 29 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund, doing even better than last season for the German club.
Sancho has two-and-a-half years remaining on his current deal at Borrusia Dortmund. He has also established himself as an important player for the England national team, scoring twice in 11 appearances.
Jadon Sancho – The player Manchester United need?
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to spend a lot of money in the summer to land a few marquee players, especially in attack and midfield.
Sancho has been linked with a move to the club for a while now, and it is not surprising that the Red Devils are adamant on signing the teenager.
He has the potential to be one of the best in the world. He is a player with great technical ability, flair, as well as good decision-making. The former Manchester City academy star picks the right passes to play to his teammates in the final third, and never shies away from taking on defenders.
Sancho’s crossing and passing are top-notch, and it’s frightening to know that he is just 19 years of age and has the potential to be even better.
Manchester United could do with a gifted player like Sancho, who could form a strong attack along with the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.
The winger could slot in on United’s right side, and he would be a huge upgrade on the likes of Juan Mata, Andreas Pereira, Jesse Lingard, and Daniel James, who have all played on the right for United.
Sancho could be a key player in taking United back into the Champions League and compete with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City in the league.
