Key Attacker To Miss Out | Predicted 4-3-3 Liverpool Lineup vs West Ham United

liverpool lineup

Liverpool will play their game in hand against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Wednesday, and will look to make it 23 wins from 24 Premier League games.

The Reds have broken several records on their way to their 67-point tally so far this season, and are in a good position to end their wait for the elusive Premier League title.

Jürgen Klopp’s side can ill-afford to be complacent though, as they will take on a West Ham side who will look to put a bit of daylight between themselves and the relegation zone, as well as avenge Saturday’s humiliating FA Cup fourth round loss against West Brom.

Liverpool were pushed by Wolves in their last Premier League game, and had to rely on a late Roberto Firmino goal to pick up another win, but were rather off-colour against League One side Shrewsbury on Sunday in the FA Cup.

The Reds have won four out of their last six games against West Ham, and will be confident of picking up another win.

Liverpool Team News

Sadio Mane will miss the clash against West Ham after picking up a minor muscle tear against Wolves. James Milner is still unavailable, while the duo of Adam Lallana and Xherdan Shaqiri will have to pass late fitness tests to be part of the squad.

Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs West Ham United

Defence

The Liverpool defence has performed well of late, as Joe Gomez has found his rhythm and Virgil van Dijk has been impeccable as always. The two should once again start at the heart of the defence. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson should complete the back four.

Alisson Becker was rested along with the rest of the back four against Shrewsbury, and he should return to the Liverpool lineup against West Ham.

Midfield

It didn’t seem like Fabinho is fully ready to start a Premier League game judging by his performance in the FA Cup, so we could see Jordan Henderson play the deeper role.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gini Wijnaldum could complete the midfield three, and they might come up against a packed West Ham midfield.

Attack

In Mane’s absence, we expect super-sub Divock Origi to get a start on the left flank. The Belgian has done exceedingly well when called upon.

Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah should return to the lineup after getting a few minutes off the bench in the FA Cup on Sunday.
