Leeds United ended their three-game losing run by winning a thriller against Millwall in the last game, coming back from two goals down to win 3-2. The Whites play Wigan Athletic on Saturday, who are currently 22nd in the Championship. Marcelo Bielsa’s men have gone back to the top of the table with that win as West Bromwich Albion lost yet again last time around.
The last time Leeds United and Wigan played, the Whites emerged 2-0 winners.
Let’s take a look at the Leeds United lineup for the game against Wigan.
Team News
The Championship leaders have added some players to the squad in the January transfer window and they could feature this weekend.
Ian Poveda was in Leeds’ squad in the game against Millwall but did not come on. He and another new signing, Jean-Kévin Augustin, could be in the matchday squad for the game against Wigan.
Adam Forshaw is training, but he may not be added to the squad so soon, while Barry Douglas is out due to injury. Kalvin Phillips will miss the game through suspension.

Goalkeeper
Kiko Casilla should continue in goal for the Whites against Wigan.
Defence
We could see an unchanged defensive lineup comprising of Luke Ayling and Ezgjan Alioski at right-back and left-back, respectively, and Ben White and Liam Cooper as the two centre backs in the Leeds United lineup.
Stuart Dallas is an option in either full-back positions if Bielsa decides to move the versatile player from the midfield position.
Midfield
Phillips’ suspension means that Mateusz Klich will continue in the deep-lying midfield position, while Dallas and Pablo Hernandez play ahead of him in the Leeds United lineup. Hernandez scored twice in Leeds’ impressive comeback win against Millwall.
Jamie Shackleton is an option for Bielsa in midfield, as is the returning Tyler Roberts. But, the Leeds manager may not change things around, and perhaps give those game time off the bench if the Whites are in a comfortable position.
Attack
Jack Harrison and Helder Costa could retain their places on the left and right side of attack. Patrick Bamford – who began Leeds’ come-from-behind win against Millwall with a goal early in the second half – should lead the line for the Whites.
New signings Ian Poveda and Jean-Kévin Augustin will most likely be on the bench for this weekend’s game.
