Man United could be offered a massive player plus cash deal for superstar: Viable option for Ole?

Real Madrid are still keen on signing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, and they could add German midfielder Toni Kroos in a deal which would see the experienced midfielder move to Old Trafford. Kroos has been at Real Madrid since 2014 but the Spanish giants could add him as part of a deal to convince United to part ways with their French star.

As per The Sun, Manchester United are now willing to let Paul Pogba go for a fee of around £100 million, while Kroos could also be added in any deal with Real Madrid. The Frenchman has struggled with injuries this season which has seen him play just 8 times this season in all competitions.

Paul Pogba is currently out of action and will not be available for a few weeks. Kroos, meanwhile, has been an integral part of the Madrid team, helping the Spaniards to one La Liga title and three Champions League titles. He is regarded as one of the best players in his position, although his form has dipped slightly over the last year or so.

Kroos and cash for Paul Pogba: Should United take it?

It’s quite certain that Paul Pogba does not see a future for himself at Old Trafford as he has become disillusioned with the club and is keen on leaving soon. Manchester United should allow the Frenchman to leave if Madrid – or any other team – pay the transfer fee that they are demanding.

With Paul Pogba entering the final year of his contract after this season, United should not risk going into the new season with the probability of him leaving on a free transfer. The touted fee of £100 million plus Toni Kroos seems like a very good deal for Manchester United, considering Pogba’s contract with Manchester United expires in 2021.

Kroos is a fantastic passer of the ball from midfield, a player who has vast experience in title-winning sides, and someone who can control the tempo of the game from the middle of the park. The German’s valuable experience and ability could allow the likes of Fred and Scott McTominay to flourish alongside him, while United will also have a player who can unlock defences with his passing, which has been missing for a long time at Old Trafford.

The only problem with this deal is that Kroos is now 30 years of age and he will most likely be a short-term fix in United’s midfield. But, the Red Devils should still pursue a deal as they lack quality midfielders at the moment and most successful United teams of the past have had the right balance of experience and young talent which is something Ole would like to replicate.
