Leeds United Reportedly Eyeing A Swoop For Bundesliga Ace: A Top Option For Bielsa?

Jean-Kevin Augustin leeds transfer news

Leeds United could make another January signing as they have reportedly been linked with a move for RB Leipzig striker Jean-Kevin Augustin.

The 22-year-old striker is currently on loan at Ligue 1 side AS Monaco, but has not had much playing time this season.

As per L’Equipe, the French striker wants to move to Leeds United to play under manager Marcelo Bielsa as well as get first-team football.

The likes of Crystal Palace, Rennes, and St Etienne are also interested in signing the former PSG striker, but he has reportedly set his sights at playing for the Whites.

Augustin will reportedly join the club on loan in the January transfer window with Leeds having the option to sign him on a permanent deal in the summer.

He joined the side in 2017 from PSG for €13 million, and Leipzig contract expires in 2022. So far this season, he has scored just once in 13 appearances for Monaco in all competitions.

Jean-Kevin Augustin – A top option for Bielsa?

Leeds United are yet again making the same mistakes that they committed last season, which resulted in them dropping out of the automatic promotion places.

Bielsa’s side have once again dominated possession and created chances, but have found it tough to convert those chances into goals.

Patrick Bamford has been wasteful this season, while the return of Eddie Nketiah to Arsenal after his loan spell was cut short, has left Bielsa with no options up front.

Augustin could be a very good signing for Bielsa, one who could very well ensure promotion to the Premier League. The Frenchman likes to dribble with the ball and has the pace to run at opposition players and torment defences.

A technically gifted player, Augustin has the vision to make vital passes, while also use his pace and dribbling ability to good effect.

He is also a hard worker who likes to press opposition defences, which will suit Bielsa’s style of play. He is a much better finisher than Bamford, which is important for Leeds as they have created several chances this season that have been squandered by their attackers.

The 22-year-old could guide Leeds back to the Premier League and could be a long-term option for Bielsa up top.

It is pretty value enough for me. Personally, if all cheap viagra owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be a lot more
