Manchester United Could Move In For £35m Brazilian Ace: Which Player Could He Replace?

Everton attacker Richarlison could be a surprise target for Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as the Red Devils look to add more freshness and quality to their squad.

The Brazilian joined Everton from Premier League side Watford in the summer of 2018, and has been one of the most exciting players to put in the blue jersey in recent years.

As per Evening Standard, Manchester United could target Richarlison to add more firepower to the club’s young forward line.

The 22-year-old has impressed in the Premier League since moving to England in 2017, first with Watford, where he managed 5 goals and 5 assists in his first season.

He then joined Everton for £35 million, where he scored 14 goals in his first season, and has kept his good form going this season, scoring 8 goals in all competitions.

The Brazilian international signed a new deal with the club earlier this month, which will keep him at Merseyside until 2024.

Who will Richarlison replace in the Manchester United side?

Richarlison has proven to be a shrewd signing for Everton from Watford, and is justifying his price tag already. The Brazilian started off as a winger for Everton, before being used as a centre-forward, a position where he has excelled.

The 22-year-old is a good finisher, and has the knack to find the back of the net consistently. He is a player who likes to cut in from wide areas and shot at every opportunity, averaging 2.4 shots per game in the league this season. Richarlison has a good work-rate, and can contribute defensively for the team as well.

Manchester United need more depth in their attack as the two recognised strikers in their squad are Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, while teenager Mason Greenwood is another option, but is inexperienced.

Richarlison could be a good signing as he can play in multiple options – on both wings as well as a striker, while also being a young player, which is exactly the type of player Solskjaer wants.

He could play off the right in place of Daniel James, or anywhere in a three-man attack alongside Martial and Rashford.
